The matches of the 1st and 2nd League will be played from 14 to 18 December in Erzurum Curling Arena with the attendance of 47 clubs and 72 teams in total participating from the various cities of Turkey. 50 coaches along with 20 referees will work during the league matches in which 360 athletes will compete.

The league consists of two phases. The elimination matches and quarter-finals will be played in the first phase and teams that qualify will compete in the second phase in January 2017.

The President of Turkish Curling Federation Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kenan Şebin, stating that Erzurum Curling Arena is a facility that has international standards, said “This organisation will be the first important event to take place in here before EYOF 2017. I would like to thank to the Provincial Directorate of Youth Services and Sports and our sponsor Erzurum Metropolitan Municipality and their staff for their support and contributions to the organisation.”

The Opening Ceremony of the organisation will be held on 15 December, Thursday at 17:00 Turkish local time.
