The preparations for 13th European Youth Olympic Winter Festival (EYOF) which will be hosted by Erzurum, one of the rising winter sports centres in Europe, are in full flow. Facilities which the competitions in nine different sports will take place, are hosting the test events.

At the end of the Turkish Curling League competitions, clubs ranked according to their scores at Erzurum Curling Arena which will host curling competitions during EYOF 2017. Both the facility and the rink gained appreciation by athletes.

The performance of the athletes at Federation Cup which took place at Figure Skating Arena and Short Track Arena was close to being flawless. The visual shows at the opening ceremonies of the competitions were applauded by the audience.

Palandöken Impressed

International Snowboard Parallel Giant Slalom competitions which took place at Palandöken, that will be used during the EYOF 2017 Erzurum, were breathtaking. 13 athletes from two different countries took part in the competitions which will affect their FIS points.

International Ski Federation (FIS) Snowboard Technical Commissioner Victor Krstevski stated that it is one of the best organizations that ever since he is in Turkey and added: “Palandöken is comparable to the ski centres to almost every ski centres in the world. Facilities here are conforming the standards to organize World Cup and Europe Cup.”



The facilities that will be used for competitions during 2017 European Youth Olympic Winter Festival (EYOF) continue to host the test events.
