Training races are on for EYOF at Palandöken Ski Center which will host snowboard races of young athletes at European Youth Olympic Festival.

International Snowboard Giant Slalom Events that were organized by Turkey Ski Federation in Erzurum, have ended. The races lasted throughout two days and thirteen athletes from Turkey and Georgia participated in the event.

Athletes who wants to get International Ski Federation (FIS) points tried to complete the track as soon as they can.

FIS Delegate Victor Kastevski who have come to Palandöken for FIS Snowboard Races from Macedonia stated that it is one of the best organizations ever since he has arrived in Turkey and added “Palandöken is comparable with the ski centers to almost every ski centers in the world.  These facilities in here are in the condition of handling both EYOF and Europe and World Cup Races.”

And lastly, when he was asked about the cancellation rumours of the EYOF 2017, Kastevski said that “It should be the last option to cancel the EYOF. I think this kind of thing will not happen and we continue the preparations in this manner.”



Preparations for EYOF in Erzurum, which is one of the most important center of Europe for winter sports that hosted various important international events, are almost done.
