Besides Turkish athletes, total of 27 athletes from France, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Italy, Slovenia, Russia, Finland, United States of America competed at FIS Continental Cup which was organized on 4-5 February. First day’s competition took place on HS125 hill and second day’s competition on HS90 hill.

Kiremitliktepe Ski Jumping Hills was prepared before EYOF 2017 Erzurum which will take place from 11 to 18 February and Slovenian athletes made their names written in top three places at FIS Ski Jumping Continental Cup.

After breath-taking competitions, Nejc Dezman got the first place with the score of 263.2, Jaka Hvala comes in second with the score of 260.7 and Rok Justin comes in third with the score of 256.7.

Slovenian young athlete Timi Zajc who’ll come to Turkey again for EYOF 2017 next week said that “If we compare the ski jumping hills here to ones in Europe, it is almost the same. The only difference is that Erzurum is a little bit higher then Europe. But everything is almost the same and very good.”

Young Slovenian athlete Timi Zajc completed the FIS Continental Cup and finished competition 11th with a score of 211.2 points in total.



As we count down the days for European Youth Olympic Festival which will take place in Erzurum, Turkey’s only ski jumping hills have passed its first official test with FIS Ski Jumping Continental Cup.
